Disability

What happens if the paycheck stops?  We spend so much effort insuring things that we sometimes forget the take care of the means of purchasing those things.  Disability will help provide for our loved ones in case of illness, injury or disability.

Short Term Disability

Short term disability is when someone is unable to work due to injury, accident or injury for a short period of time. Usually this means several weeks to a few months. If you were to break your leg and could not work for 3 months a percentage of your income would be replaced if you carried a Short Term Disability policy.

Long Term Disability

Long term disability is when someone is unable to work due to injury, accident or injury for an extended period of time. These events usually last longer that one month but can last for three years, five years or have lifelong effects. A good Long Term Disability policy with a great carrier could provide a portion of your income throughout the full length of the event.
